Today there was an article about the use of Andy Weir's book, the Martian.

In the New York Times Book Review
Expletives notwithstanding, they are saying that this is a book that could be a problem with its combination of good and evil that are mixed. We have to be able to decipher the usefulness of tools that are set before us. Words are good and words can be evil, also.
I expect that this is just the beginning of books that will challenge our convictions of uses of wicked words and exposure to these things.  Children shouldn't be exposed to these things,
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.  Learn how to use good and encouraging words and it will go a long way to influence the world that you are inheriting.   Are expletives as damaging as slander?  Words are damaging. Words are healing.  Use them rightly!

Dearest and Most Recent Son!

What a tickle I got, when you wrote me a letter, this past Sunday.  You were lucid and creative in your penning an excellent imploring letter to get back your device.  I am grateful to Aunt Jo for giving us this vehicle of interaction that engaged us in such wonderful expressions of written love for eachother.

Reminding oneanother that we love eachother is something that I hope we never outgrow.

You refered to me as the wife of your father who you love and other such exaltations.  You told me that idleness is something that you are trying to avoid and other such things that I am sorry that I can't find the letter to quote back to you.  I promise to scan it in, if I ever find that letter.

At 13 years old you are prolific and I hope that you can make great use of that ability that you have.  I may make you write me everyday to get your device, just to keep your pen active.  Your handwriting is attrocious, but nevertheless the use of vocabulary and the heart of a writer is very capable.

Don't miss your great gift and use it for Jesus and not just to butter up your mother here and there.

I love you so much,   Your most ancient mother,  Jayne

Schedule problems

First the schedule was lost. Then, the schedule wasn't legible through the scanner. Problems resolved by copying and printing the schedule and posting them in various locations. We love you Ezra and we are excited about your wonderful growth. Love and prayer for all of the teachers who will be helping and guiding you, this semester.
MS. Bartlett, correction Mr. Miller, Ms. Marshall, Ms. Skeen, Ms. Glenn, Ms. Wood, Mr. Rivera, Ms. Blackwell. Thank you God for them.
